The following notes give you a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data that can be used to identify you personally.

This website uses no cookies, no tracking and no analytics tools. When you visit the site, the hosting provider automatically collects technical data in server log files (see section 4). We use the local storage of your browser to save your colour scheme preference; it contains no personal data and is never transmitted to us.

We host the content of this website with the following provider:

Use is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have a legitimate interest in presenting our website as reliably as possible.

We have concluded data processing agreements (DPAs) with the providers. These ensure that the personal data of our website visitors is processed only on our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

4. Server log files

The provider of this website automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Host name of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data is not merged with other data sources. The collection is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically flawless presentation and optimisation of the website — for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

5. Enquiries by e-mail or telephone

If you contact us by e-mail or telephone, your enquiry, including all personal data arising from it (name, enquiry), is stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your concern. We do not pass this data on to third parties without your consent.

Processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR insofar as your enquiry relates to the fulfilment of a contract; in all other cases it is based on our legitimate interest in the effective handling of enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

The data remains with us until you request its deletion or the purpose of the data storage no longer applies — for example, after your concern has been fully handled. Mandatory statutory provisions, in particular statutory retention periods, remain unaffected.

6. Chrome extension

The Chrome extension processes data only when you trigger it. When you click the toolbar button on a marketplace listing, the extension reads the visible content of that one tab, reduces it to the listing data, and sends it together with the page URL to our service for analysis; the popup then shows the market price estimate. Nothing is read from other tabs, your browsing history, or any login data, and the extension runs no analysis on its own.

The extension stores your language choice, an optional service URL, the state of runs you started, and the hosts it must refuse to analyse — locally in your browser only. This data never reaches us.

When you ask to be notified about a missing marketplace, the extension sends the name and email address you enter, plus the marketplace host and your interface language, to this website. We store them solely to send you that one decision mail — marketplace supported, or declined as not planned. The address is confirmed by a double opt-in email; you can view and delete your sign-ups yourself via the manage link in our emails, or by email to daten[AT]waskommtraus.com — this also deletes them (Art. 17 GDPR). Storage and sending are based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Calling the extension service logs technical data as described in section 4. The listing data itself is processed to answer your request and is not merged with other data sources.

7. Storage period

Unless a more specific storage period is stated in this privacy statement, your personal data remains with us until the purpose of the data processing no longer applies. If you make a legitimate request for deletion or withdraw consent to data processing, your data will be deleted, provided we have no other legally permissible reasons for storing it (e.g. tax or commercial retention obligations); in the latter case, deletion takes place once these reasons cease to apply.

8. Your rights

You have the right at any time to receive free information about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data, as well as a right to rectification or erasure of this data. If you have given consent, you may withdraw it at any time with effect for the future. You also have, under certain circumstances, a right to restriction of processing and a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfilment of a contract handed out to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format (right to data portability).

Insofar as data processing is based on Art. 6(1)(e) or (f) GDPR, you have the right at any time to object to the processing of your personal data for reasons arising from your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions (objection under Art. 21 GDPR).

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar and the padlock symbol.
